Pet Airways is the brainchild of Dan and Alysa Wiesel. In 2001 they found themselves traveling back and forth to Florida from California, but Zoe, their Jack Russell Terrier was a bit too big to fit under the seat. After a tense-filled trip with Zoe in cargo, Dan said there has to be a better way, and the idea of Pet Airways was born.
Today, we no longer fly in a pets-only configuration. We do however offer private chartered flight where you and your pet can fly together. You, a mate or two, and your pets, all aboard a plane that takes off when you want to take off and flies to a local airport close to your destination. The planes are small, but the experience is amazing. And of course your pet is right there with you.
Where do you live? When we’re not traveling as we run Pet Airways, we live in Florida.
What do you do? Our goal with Pet Airways was to create a safe and comfortable alternative to flying pets in cargo. We want to be able to provide this service to all the pets in the country.
